In general, all varieties of Cyphastrea coral can be placed in the middle or top of the tank. They need moderate to high light and moderate to strong flow. Regarded as an easy to keep sps.

Cyphastrea corals form encrusting or massive colonies that can vary in colour, including shades of brown, green, blue, and even pink or purple. The colony surface typically has a wrinkled or bumpy appearance. The individual coral polyps are quite small and have translucent tentacles, which they extend at night to feed on plankton
